25 Year History
The A. Green Baseball Program was started in 1996.
Currently, the program is one of the most respected in the region and continues to grow each year! The goal was and still is to provide an organization that teaches good sportsmanship and works to improve the skill sets of players seeking to compete at a higher level. It is the primary focus of the A. Green Baseball Program to achieve these goals through the daily development of the mental and physical aspects of the game. The A. Green Baseball Program recruits players throughout Southeastern Michigan; however, we may also go anywhere else throughout the country in an effort to find talented players, who also possess the additional qualities off the field that we look for in A. Green Summer Baseball players. Prospective players must maintain not only proper conduct on and off the field but also a grade point average that is acceptable for collegiate enrollment.
Over our 26 seasons, the A. Green Baseball Program has experienced many successes on the field. Through hard work and our focus on player development our players and staff have enjoyed the fruits of their labor resulting in:
23 League Titles
1 National Championship
23 Tournament and District Championships
3 World Series appearances (6 total berths in national events)
Over 50 draftees into Professional Baseball, including 1 young man who played professionally in Europe.
This is truly a success story on and off of the field of play!
Every member of the A. Green Baseball coaching staff are registered members of the American Baseball Coaches Association. The program maintains current affiliations in several programs; including All-Pro Sports USA, USSSA, NABF, AAU, CABA, ABA, DeMarini/Wilson Top 96, Perfect Game USA, World Wood Bat Association (WWBA), Gameday Prospects, Pastime Championships, Team One, Area Code Games, Aflac, East Coast Professional Showcase, Ripken Baseball, Triple Play Baseball, Elite Baseball, Triple Crown Baseball.
In addition, the A. Green Baseball Program constantly searches for partnerships with several national companies in an effort to maintain agreements on apparel, glove and bat use along with many more items for our players and staff. Look for further information on these issues throughout the coming fall and winter seasons.
